Jonathan Bernier's Late-2000/Early-2010 Los Angeles Kings Game-Worn Equipment Collection Ron Hextall Jonathan Bernier's Late-2000s/Early-2010s Los Angeles Kings Game-Worn Equipment Collection Including Pads, Blocker, Gloves (2) and Bag From Ron Hextall's Personal Collection NHL Los Angeles Kings goalie equipment lot from Kings goaltender Jonathan Bernier. This lot features a pair of photo-matched pads worn by Bernier during the 2010-11 season, as well as a glove and blocker set dating from the 2007-08 campaign, an additional catching glove from the late-2000s/early-2010s and lastly, a Kings equipment bag. Bernier played fourteen (14) seasons during his career, suiting up in a total of 404 National Hockey League games from 2010. Bernier played for Los Angeles, Toronto, Anaheim, Colorado, Detroit and New Jersey, winning a Stanley Cup with the Kings in 2012. A pair of purple, black and white coloured pads made by Reebok from the "Revoke PZ" line of equipment, Reebok logos appear over the face and outer roll of each pad face while "Reebok" has been added over the outside of both in individually sewn on white leather letters. Having had "Bernier" embroidered into the outside of each pad over the boot as well in white thread, the pads show good game-wear including puck marks over the face of each pad as well as additional wear via sweat staining and soiling, rubbing and dye transfers on the outside bottom portions of each leg channel and other nylon areas while fraying is observed in areas of the calf wraps as well. With all the straps and buckles present and accounted for, all are intact and still fully functional, including the skate lace toe ties at the front of each boot on the bottom. Regarding the aforementioned photo-match, the pads are matched with Getty Image #109755849 (March 3rd, 2011 vs Phoenix) to puck marks observed in the middle area of the right pad. Also included is a blocker and glove set worn by Bernier from the 2007-08 season, the RBK (Reebok) made "Premier Series II" model gloves are in LA's purple, white, silver and black colours and have had "Bernier" identifiers embroidered into each. Sporting a grey coloured lace pocket on the gloves and RBK logos over the face of each piece, both gloves show moderate use throughout via puck marks and paint transfers from posts as well as some material loss/small rips and tears, fraying/rubbing around the edges and sweat staining plus dye transfers as well. Additionally, the blocker shows a few small holes from repeated use and rubbing. Also including a second (2nd) glove, another Reebok made example hailing from the "Premier Series III" line of equipment, the catcher is largely white in colour with silver and black present as well while "Bernier" is embroidered into the outside of the cuff. Showing with good use and featuring a grey coloured lace pocket, wear is observed via puck marks and paint transfers from posts as well as some some material loss/small rips and tears, fraying/rubbing
