External Material
The EFlex 6 leg pad continues to be wrapped in CCM’s proprietary SpeedSkin material. SpeedSkin is just as thick and durable as traditional Jenpro, but its embossed texture allows for an effortless slide.
Internal Construction
One of the standout features of the EFlex 6 leg pads is the integration of the cutting-edge Dualitecore technology from its predecessors. Dualitecore optimal performance by combining a lightweight molded Pro core with enhanced flexibility below the knee and added stiffness in the thigh rise, resulting in unmatched responsiveness and a flexible feel that allows you to move with unparalleled agility. The leg pads also boast the upgraded Control Rebound Technology, which uses specialized rebound foam that excels at redirecting harder shots with pinpoint precision in tight spaces with pro-level accuracy.
Pad Break
With a pre-curved, single inner and single outer break, these pads can provide the proper flexibility for the hybrid goalie. This construction delivers improved mobility without compromising seal capability, enabling you to effortlessly execute tight and clutch saves.
Boot Angle & Toe Taper
The pads use a 90-degree boot angle with a shallow channel for good balance and stability. The 90-degree boot angle allows the goalie to integrate their pads more effectively with the goal posts when in a butterfly position. By aligning the skate blade vertically, the goalie can achieve a better seal against the ice and the post, minimizing gaps and improving coverage. The pads also use a bungee toe system, which is an alternative to the traditional leather or nylon toe straps found on older-style leg pads. CCM’s bungee system is quick and secure and allows for more flexibility, easing the stress on goalies’ joints.
Knee Cradle
With the introduction of the Dynamic Response System Pro in the Axis 2, the EFlex series has been able to undergo further refinement in its pads’ sliding capabilities. This system incorporates a one-piece, HD foam landing zone, enhancing speed, stability, and seal along the ice during butterfly strides. Additionally, the Pro version includes an added inner foam layering for improved impact absorption.
Strapping
The EFlex 6 pads incorporate the deep, tight fit of the EFlex series with their Quick Motion Strap System 2. This system has been tailored for hybrid goaltenders for greater responsiveness and reactivity. This pad also includes a molded upper calf strap, which optimizes leg connectivity, pad rotation, and positioning—while additionally enabling seamless transitions and swift movement along the ice.
