The SZ7 are a rigid v-shaped pad with just enough give to allow for mobility in the butterfly, with serious attention paid to the stiffness at the breaks in the knee and the boot. This combined with their 80 degree taper make moving in and out of the butterfly a breeze. Meanwhile a laceless face construction combines with their new v-shape to provide more predictable rebounds for goalies across the board. Brian’s “Smart Strap” system makes a return on these pads as well, with their reinforced single elastic strap that locks down the back of your leg with ease and saves you time and added weight. Sub-Zero 7.0 Glove is new for this summer, and one of the lightest pro-spec gloves Brian’s has built. The lace-less palm and one piece cuff combine to help drop the weight of the glove, while also augmenting the gloves rigidity, efficiency, and performance. The one piece cuff on the SZ7 is built to provide a wide fit to allow a full range of motion, without compromising your safety. A floating wrist pad and cinch strap allow goalies to easily customize the fit of their glove to meet their needs. The Single-T web style in the SZ7 is durable and supple, with Brian’s custom design requiring very little break in to be fully game ready. Finally, Brian’s new X-Static Finger Gussets are woven with silver fibers to combat bacteria and that nasty stink that persistently infects our gear. The Sub Zero 7 Glove is an excellent step down from the Sub Zero Pro 3 and delivers a high end option without breaking the bank The new Sub Zero 7 Blocker is an effort in efficiency from Brian’s and the lightweight rigid results are noticeable. With a binding-less face and a direct connection between the same HD Foam core found in their leg pads, the SZ7 Blocker offers unreal rebound control. The side-board has been reinforced with a removable cushion to customize the pad to your preference. A redesigned shorter, wider wrist cuff aids in mobility and allows players to get the full range of motion they need when playing the puck. The palm of the blocker is your standard ivory nash with a special SBA coating. This SBA material gets tackier as it gets wet, amplifying your grip and keeping things in place. Finally, Brian’s X-Static technology features silver fibers woven through the mesh gussets of the finger stalls, fighting up to 99% of the bacteria is contacts white combating the odors that permeate through our equipment.
