Up for grabs is an all-white set of Vaughn Velocity V7 XF Pro leg pads and matching gloves. I purchased the set in summer 2017 and wore it 2-3x a week at the B/C beer league level for the past four years. Overall, aside from the obvious puck marks and scuffs, the set is in good condition with normal wear & tear except in one place (see below). Air dried and dehumidified indoors after every skate, they are also reasonably clean (though certainly not odor-free). NOTE: If you're interested in a TRUE full set of Vaughn pads, check my other listings for a pair of Vaughn V7 XF Pro chest & arms and Vaughn Ventus LT88 goal pants. The 32+2" leg pads are XF Pro (extra flexible, i.e. geared toward the active/hybrid style butterfly goalie). Compared to other mid-level senior pads at this price point, they are much lighter and slide much faster than competitors like CCM and Bauer. For example, I've worn CCM Premier 1.9s (introduced the same year as the Velocity V7 line) and the Vaughns are about three pounds lighter with much faster post-to-post action -- even on dirty ice. With two inner and two outer breaks and deep leg channels, the V7 XFs have flexible strapping options to ensure the pads conform to the legs while allowing for quick rotation into the butterfly. Even though they're a softer pad by design, they've retained their shape remarkably well (especially compared to the Vaughn Velocity V1s that I wore for ten years before buying this set). They still have a ton of pop and kick out pucks to the corner super well. The only place where the pads have changed shape is at the inner toe where you want a little flex over the boot. There are no rips, cuts, or tears anywhere on the Jen-pro, outer rolls, or seams. The only performance issue is that the HD foam is starting to break down in the right leg channel where my knee guard sits. If you wear knee guards, you probably won't notice anything. There's also a 1" rip at the bottom of the right leg channel where the top of the boot rests, but it's surface and shouldn't get any worse. As for the trapper and blocker, the main thing to know is that the palms in both gloves are in great condition with no evidence of any future problems. The catcher is perfectly broken in and requires no effort to fully close as seen in the photo. It's super easy to pick up pucks on the ice after a whistle. It has a neutral break angle, roughly 60 degrees, akin to the old Vaughn T-5550 or the CCM 590 but with a lower thumb angle. The cording around the edges will need to be replaced at some point but you probably have a few years before it'll be necessary. The blocker is a solid unit with no wrist wobble. Feel free to ask any questions. I've got lots more photos as well.
