The HZRDUS PX4 has a new composite thigh rise core.  This makes the thigh rise 30% stiffer than previous generations.  This is ideal for a goalie with a wider butterfly.  Combined with the stiffer thigh rise core, the thigh rise is angled to direct pucks to an angle when making a butterfly save.  Also with the stiffer core, rebounds are more explosive off the pads compared to previous generations of True (and Lefevre) goalie pads.  The thigh rise of the HZRDUS PX4 has also been thinned out by 40% (again based on past generations of True pads).  This makes the thigh rise overlap more manageable in the ready position and skating movements. This also makes transitions in skating movements much easier for the goalie. The boot of the HZRDUS PX4 has the 90-degree angle which again provides the flex in the boot that the hybrid goalie wants. The True HZRDUS PX4 will continue using the popular (Patent-pending) Fast Rotation System (FRS) located at the calf keeps the leg connected to the pad. FRS makes them incredibly responsive without compromising rotation when dropping to the ice. I replaced the Bungee Toe Tie with laces.
