These pads were used when my son started played mites (8u) and have lasted two years. He's outgrown them and they show normal wear and tear but have tons of life left in them! The chest protector has no cuts and all the straps have good elasticity left in them. You'll notice glue marks on the front Velcro. When we first got the chesty used, the Velcro was weak and we modified the pad with additional Velcro. After 1.5 years it fell off. However the residual glue improved the original Velcro and the straps caught traction. These pads are perfect for the 6u kid looking for a real goalie experience beyond pass the bag. It's also perfect for the 8u goalie on the smaller side looking to learn the position.
