The sternum plate of the unit is also lined with MD foam reinforcements to add extra protection to the heart guard which seats itself under the shoulder floaters for seamless mobility. The shoulder floaters have 3 strategic cuts in them to segment nicely to the goalies body and conform to current NHL specs. Rib protection wraps comfortably around the body with seamless edges under the arms to reduce the risk of stingers on the side of the body. The VE8 Youth incorporates the use of fully sewn attachment points at the shoulder blades, ultimately connecting the shoulder floaters, shoulder caps and spine plate. With these designs, the goaltender has a snug and protective fit that they specifically need at the younger level.
