The arms are actually the exact same as the new 7600 model with the quilted nylon base and features the large arm caps for better arm protection. Even the arm floaters and elbow pad is exactly the same. The new shoulder floaters are almost identical to the 7600, just slightly shorter for fit. They feature the same construction but do not feature the air pillow padding. The shoulder caps remain the molded plastic and have the lower extension to fill in the area around the upper arm pit. The chest pad construction has added HD at the collar bone and neck area and the sternum plate is slightly thicker than the previous model. Overall this gives great value to a high end unit that is only slightly less protective than the full pro model. The VP 7450 still will remain a domestic made product and is considered a higher end unit now with the changes.
