Used off and on for one season. Description is below. With the 818 hybrids, Titleist has added more customization, while also incorporating enhanced distance and forgiveness. In terms of customization, the 818 hybrids will feature the SureFit CG Technology that has proven to be both popular and successful in Titleist’s 917 drivers and fairway woods. Players will be able to position a weight cartridge that runs through the clubhead to achieve their ideal launch condition, spin rate, and shot shape. Also new with the 818 hybrids is a revamped Active Recoil Channel that features not only an improved design but also a polymer insert that flexes more to create added ball speed from across the clubface. Additionally, when compared to their 816 counterparts, MOI has been increased by 10 percent in the 818 hybrids to provide more forgiveness on mis-hits and more clubhead stability at impact. The H2 was created for players who attack the ball with a hybrid the way they would with an iron. The H2 also has a new, more compact profile with a squarer toe when compared to the 816 H2, and its slight offset design will help improve turf interaction for aggressive players with steeper angles of attack. Titleist is again utilizing its SureFit hosel system, which offers 16 settings to help players achieve their preferred ball flight and trajectory, and it also has a new shaft lineup in play for the 818 hybrids.
