Just purchased this bat for my son about a month ago. He recently started practice and used this bat about 3xs. The bat does has some blemishes and markings from practicing in the batting cage. Unfortunately when he went to a recent practice, his coach pulled his bat and said he is unable to use it as the league only allows USA bats.. Rookie mom mistake as I am still learning about this sport. The bat retails for over $200. Our loss your gain. Asking $180 obo

CATX came out in 2023. The first gen is a white ribbon silver bat. For the second run, Marucci came out with a version called the CATX Vanta. It's a blacked-out, limited-edition. Both gens are an alloy one-piece bat, both very strong performers. They took the alloy and strength from the CAT9 and applied the balance and feel from the CAT8 to develop the CATX.
