My son used this for one fall ball season. He moved up to a drop 8 over winter. It was a great bat for him transitioning from a drop 12, light swing weight and a very forgiving and large sweet spot. The alloy material used by Louisville Slugger is going to be the SL Hyper Alloy that delivers thin barrel walls that help the baseball explode off the barrel of this bat. Meanwhile, the composite end-cap is crafted in the SPD Composite design. This end cap should remove weight from the barrel end of the bat and improve the lightweight feel plus the balance of the bat.
