Here's a chance to pass your grandpa's glove down to the next generation, or keep it as a collector's item. This Wilson 3146 Catfish Hunter autograph model is from the early- to mid-1970s. I found it while shopping at the Emporium in North Adams, Massachusetts, way up in the Berkshires. It was dusty as heck and in tough condition. When I cleaned it, I noticed a name on it. First name Mike, second name began with a "Z" but I couldn't read it. However, I noticed the homemade "Zap" insignia with lightning bolts the previous owner must've drawn on as a kid. When I reconditioned and relaced it, I kept it because I love little individual details like that. So now it's cleaned, conditioned, oiled, relaced, and salved with mink oil for added protection. It's ready for a game right now or would be awesome for a collector. Either way, a really wonderful vintage glove with some personal history and you can't go wrong with Wilson.
