Best STX Lacrosse Gloves
From the Stallion to the Surgeon, our lacrosse glove reviews are designed to help you weigh tradeoffs to find the best fit. We collaborate with players and gear experts to review each glove based on protection (how well the gloves shield the hands from impact and abrasion), dexterity (the ability to allow for free and precise movement), and comfort (how well the gloves fit and feel for extended periods). Rankings are updated weekly based on SidelineSwap sales data.

The STX Cell V Lacrosse Gloves feature a Power Fit design for increased freedom of movement and a durable AX Suede palm for excellent stick feel. Their ventilated palm ensures breathability, making them a favorite among high school and elite players. With GeoFlex II technology for flexible protection and a customizable C3 cuff system, these gloves offer a secure fit. The improved Guard Lock strap keeps your mouth guard secure off the field, making the STX Cell V a top choice for comfort and performance.
The Cell V is a great glove. The harder shell on the outside allows for less sting and more protection when hit by a lacrosse stick. A few things to consider are that they tend to run small and can rip easily, but they are very affordable. The Cell V is one of the best comfort gloves from STX.

The STX Cell VI Lacrosse Gloves provide reliable protection with an improved fit for comfort and control. They feature expanded space in the thumb and back of the hand for a broken-in feel, snug-fitting fingers for better stick feedback, and GeoFlex II technology for protection without sacrificing mobility. The ventilated design and C3 cuff system ensure customizable comfort and performance.
These are popular gloves but they do run small. Great for all levels of play and flexible for all positions. I personally used them for Goalie. If you don't like the Goalie thumb on other gloves, then these gloves would be a good fit. The IV gloves are durable and will last you a few seasons.

The STX Cell VI Lacrosse Gloves continue the legacy of the Cell line, offering a redesigned fit that provides a more snug and comfortable feel. The Cell VI features a spacious thumb area and a revised back of hand profile for enhanced flexibility. The GeoFlex II technology ensures added mobility without compromising protection, while the Power Fit profile and ventilated design enhance ball feel and stick control. The C3 cuff system allows for personalized fit preferences, making the Cell VI an ideal choice for players seeking the ultimate combination of comfort, performance, and customizability.
One of the newer gloves on the market, the STX Cell VI, was released in 2023 as part of the notable Cell line. The 6th iteration builds on the previous gloves by expanding its fit profile and overall ventilation so you can play high-intensity games. The VI is noticeably clunky but provides amazing protection on checks and other contact. Overall, these gloves are one of the best options out there.

The STX Stallion 200 Lacrosse Gloves feature ventilated palms and dual-density foams, reducing moisture accumulation for a consistent grip. Their durable construction and hard plastic thumb insert provide protection against slashes. These gloves offer a great balance of comfort, protection, and performance, making them ideal for young lacrosse players.
The STX 200s are made for beginner players. They are soft and come in a few sizes. I don’t recommend them for any level higher than middle school. They are very soft all around and don’t offer the protection needed for the higher levels. Taking a hit from a college-level stick will most likely bruise if not break your hand. They could be improved by adding a wristguard, and just beware when they get wet, they stay wet until you let them dry out.

The STX Surgeon RZR Lacrosse Gloves utilize SUPERFLEX technology for flexibility and protection. The 2nd SKIN Palm and Ax Suede enhance stick control, while the DFLKT design protects the thumb and back of the hand. The updated Guard Lock strap securely holds the mouth guard, and the Game Ready Taper Fit ensures a snug fit for better control.
The RZRs are one of the most popular gloves on the market. Despite the STX creating a second version of these gloves, the only difference is the cuff around the wrist. The RZR has padded blocks in key contact zones without sacrificing weight or flexibility. Additionally the RZRs are incredibly comfortable and are one of the reasons the second overall pick in the 2022 PLL Draft, Chris Gray, uses them on the field.
