Not only does the boot have an adjustable walk mode (via the power strap), but it also features a lateral stiffness not seen in frontside boots. When you're skinning a sidehill, you'll immediately notice the difference in support and efficiency, as well as saving you valuable energy for those longer days.
The heel of the boot is fitted with a purpose-built welt for semi-automatic crampons, giving you piece of mind as you're booting up in bigger terrain. And the sides of the boot are affixed with Deeluxe Rock Guard to not only protect the boots from rocks, but to offer additional traction when scrambling towards the summit.
To make transitions easier, these boots feature a speedlace system, with each lace bringing a particular part of your foot into an ideal level of support and comfort.
