Burton Channel discs are the mounting discs (and related hardware) that let you attach standard disc-style snowboard bindings to snowboards with the Burton Channel system. What the Channel isThe Channel is Burtons mounting system: two long aluminum slots embedded in the board (one under each foot) instead of traditional fixed inserts (4x4, 2x4, or older 3D). Bindings attach with just two screws per binding via sliding inserts, giving nearly unlimited adjustability for stance width, angle, centering, and setback. Channel discs For Burton Re:Flex (disc) bindings: These come with (or can use) special Channel-compatible discs. The disc sits in the baseplate and lines up with the Channel inserts. Newer versions include the Unidisc, which works for both Channel and traditional 4x4/2x4 patterns. Hardware: You need the matching Channel inserts (T-nuts/sliding hardware) and the correct screws (typically shorter black M6 screws for the Channelusing the longer 4x4 screws can damage the board). EST vs. disc: Burton EST bindings are Channel-only and dont use a traditional underfoot disc at all (they mount outboard for better board flex/feel). Channel discs are for Re:Flex-style or most other brand bindings that use a central disc. Note: These do not come with the T-nuts but do come with the screws and washers that go into them.Compatibility All modern Burton Re:Flex bindings work on Channel boards with the right disc + hardware. Most non-Burton bindings (Union, Ride, K2, etc.) can also mount to Channel boards using the manufacturers Channel/adapter disc (or a compatible one).
