With the condition scale running from 10 as brand new ski that has never been used down to 6 with significant cosmetic damage. Top Sheet Condition 8.5 This top sheet condition may have some chips along the edges that will not need repaired. There may be moderate to heavy amounts of scratching to the surface of the tip and tails from ski usage. The ski may have some epoxy repairs to the edges of the ski. There is no compromising damage to the ski’s top sheet. Base Condition 9.5 This base condition is of a ski that may have never been used and is only showing scuffing incurred during storage or may have been used but still looks new with no visible cosmetic damage. Bases that have a fresh tune on them are counted in this category as they will show no scratching and look new. This is the highest score a used ski can receive and will be only the very best condition of used skis.
