The condition rating system evaluates both the top sheet and base condition on a scale that informs you of the amount of cosmetic damage visible on the ski with the condition scale running from 10 as a brand new ski that has never been used down to 6 with significant cosmetic damage. Option: 230161 Top Sheet Condition 7.5 This top sheet condition may have some chips along the edges that will not need repaired. There may be moderate to heavy amounts of scratching to the surface of the tip and tails from ski usage. The ski may have some epoxy repairs to the edges of the ski. There is no compromising damage to the ski’s top sheet. Option: 230161 Base Condition 7.5 This base condition describes a ski that may have a fair amount of scratching across the ski base. It will have a few deep scratches and gouges that may require P-TEX repairs and a tune. These skis do not need any base welds to be repaired and are safe to use out of the box; however, we recommend repairs and a tune on this ski to maximize your skiing experience. I’ve tried out a number of skis within the Salomon QST family since they were introduced back in 2016. There’s a huge number of different models out there, but they all share a few common features: namely, ease of control and maneuverability across a variety of conditions and terrain types. Keep an eye out for QST 106s and later models, as that model is the first to feature a large swathe of updates to improve performance.
