Let's start with the up. The Spicy 7 uses a Paulownia wood and cell core, which is exceptionally light. It also has Rossignol's Air Tip Technology, which further reduces weight, especially when referring to swing weight. The light weight and maneuverable feel makes ascents feel so easy. With proper boots and bindings you'll hardly notice anything on your feet. On the descents that Paulownia wood core provides some nice stability for a true AT ski. Rossignol's Powder Turn rocker profile and the ski's 86 mm waist width provide a fun ride on the way back down. It has solid float for a ski of this width, and feels similarly maneuverable compared to its uphill performance.
