This boot is great for anyone who wants a high performance boot that has the ability to perform in all aspects of skiing. This boot also has a very high quality liner, tight ankle pocket, high instep, and the live fit stretch spot is great for high performance skiers with wide or medium volume feet. This boot has a 101 last and also feature an all carbon spine to the back of the boot. Carbon is very lightweight and strong component that high end ski boots add on. Within the carbon spine is a lever that you can pull to allow the walk/hike mode to engage. By pulling the lever up a metal piece of the spine pops out and allows the boot to flex backwards as well as forwards and it is a lot easier to flex than if you don’t have the walk/hike mode engaged. By pulling the lever back down again and flexing forward the spine of the boot is re-engaged into ski mode.
