First off, I absolutely love these boots. Best ski boots I've ever owned and I've been skiing over 35 years. Unfortunately I was right in between sizes and sized up to the 27.5. I've skied on these 5 days, and found there was just a bit too much space. I've ended up sizing down to a 26.5 in this exact boot and have achieved boot nirvana. The ZipFit liner included in these boots is a game changer. This way my first time experiencing ZipFit, and all I can say is the hype is real. ZipFit liners alone run around $500. These have not been heated and molded, neither the liners or shells, so you have that as a fresh option. You can also add or remove cork from the liners if you like, but I did not. I found the cork in the liner adapted to my foot quickly. I just skied on the 26.5 I replaced these with for the first time yesterday, and after the first couple of laps they felt very well molded. The BOA closure is also a game changer. I've found the pressure point I've become used to on the top of my foot is all but gone (I have higher arches) and loading this boot feels smooth and controlled with even pressure across the tongue. I have a buddy who tried BOA on the top and bottom closures and did not like it because there's less adaptability for different calf sizes up top. Buckles up top and BOA below feels like the perfect combination. I have custom footbeds and don't have the original insole that came with these. I do have a 26.5 insole I'd be happy to throw in, but if you already have a custom footbed I'd expect you'd be able to use in these without issue (and would have a serious dream setup).
