The perfect upgrade from rental boots for a beginner or intermediate skier. These boots have only seen 15 days of skiing since the 2022 season, which means these Italian-made boots have a lot of life left in them! These are from the discontinued RX-line which has been replaced by the Shadow series. The RX line was a step up from the LX line. While many manufacturers have moved production to lower-cost countries, these were made in Italy. Selling because I got new boots - these were my “chillax, cushy, comfy, cruiser” boots. Comes in original box. Have always been stored properly with buckles loosely done up to maintain shape. Features: - The grip-walk soles are a game changer if you’ve never experienced them! They make walking in ski-boots not feel like you’re clomping around like a medieval knight. - Comes with original hardware/plugs to soften the stiffness of the boot. - Each buckle allows for micro-adjustments by twisting the clasp. - Heat moldable (you would need to go into a store for this) - They also have about $100 of custom boot-work on them to improve heel-hold. Foam “L” pieces were taped to outside of the liner, which are removable if you find the heel too narrow. However it’s always easier for a boot-fitter to make a boot bigger than smaller. The foam was not sufficient for my skinny heels unfortunately. Who these would be good for: They are great for cruising around on greens and blues. Fit: Please measure your foot according to the Lange charts. In street-shoes I am usually a 6.5-7 or 36.5. For the best fit, you should invest in insoles. The original insoles are included and were never used. I have very narrow heels, regular-width foot, and low-arches. These were not the right fit for me for many reasons. You will know if you have skinny-heels if you are easily able to lift your heels in ski boots, and often try to crank on the buckles to feel secure (to the detriment of cutting off your circulation). If you have a very average foot, rarely have trouble buying shoes off-the-rack, and are not an aggressive skier, these will be great for you!
