Inquire for sizes available Model Last width / Fit Key features Best use / Pros Things to watch out for Hawx Ultra 85 W (Women’s, narrow) ~98 mm last, narrow / low volume foot. Uses Prolite shell (reinforced for strength but fairly slim), BOA option in some, Mimic liner, adaptive cuff, GripWalk sole on many. Softer flex = forgiving. Great if your feet are narrower, you want comfort, good walking capability (GripWalk), and aren’t pushing super aggressively. Good for all-mountain, cruisy skiing. If you push hard (fast turns, steep terrain), the soft flex may feel too mushy. Narrow last may be uncomfortable if feet / calves are wider. Hawx Prime 85 W ~100 mm (medium volume) last. Medium-volume fit, good balance between comfort and performance. Choices of buckles or BOA on some versions. Heat-moldable shell + liner, etc. If you have average width foot, want a boot that works well all day, can handle more aggressive runs than soft flex boots but still want comfort. As always with 85 flex, when skiing very aggressively or at high speed / on hard terrain you’ll feel limits. Also, may need liner / shell tweaking for best fit. Hawx Magna 85 W ~102 mm (wide/high volume) last. Designed for skiers who need more width in the forefoot / instep / calf; still has many of the comfort features (Memory Fit, adaptive cuff, etc.). Softer flex. Good if your feet are wide, you tend to suffer from pressure points in narrower boots, and want something you can wear all day without pain. Ideal for resort skiing, mixed terrain, moderate speeds. May be less precise / responsive than narrow/medium fits. You might feel a little more flex / less edge grip in very demanding conditions. Also walking is usually okay, but the wider fit + shell may add bulk. --- Which kinds of skiers / foot shapes do best with a Hawx 85 You’ll probably like a Hawx 85 if: You’re an intermediate skier (or advancing) who wants comfort and reasonable performance. You ski mostly at resorts, mixed terrain, groomers, possibly some variable snow, but not solely on super hard, icy or high-speed situations where you need maximum stability. Your foot is average to wide (if considering Magna) or average to narrow for the Ultra. If your foot is very wide and you get a narrow/medium boot, you’ll have discomfort. You care about comfort features: heat moldable liners, adaptive cuffs, micro adjust / BOA in some, GripWalk soles for better walking.
