Gerry Cheevers NHL Goalie Vintage Hockey Book, "Goaltender" 1971

Hi hockey collectors, For sale is the Gerry Cheevers classic biography hard cover book, "Goaltender." I've read it many times over the years. (I had another copy of it long ago.) Just the dedication alone is worth having this in your hockey collection. It reads, "to my twenty-six lodge brothers behind the mask, and the two nuts without them." This book is a must read for anyone who wants to learn more about hockey in the great early 70's era. If you're a young goalie, consider this your history class homework. For goalies my age, it's a walk down memory lane. Cheevers was by far one of the best goalies in the NHL. Now learn from behind his classic stitched mask what it was like to play against the best of that era. The book itself is old and frayed. The cover of this hardbound book is ripped and torn (as seen in the photos) The inside pages are in good condition, and there's great pics of him tending goal. Priced to go, as I'm cleaning out the hockey closet. I've read it, enjoyed it, and now it's time for another goalie to take the journey with Cheevers and discover this wonderful time of goaltending.
