Compared to its predecessor, this new toe cap and box is a touch shorter in height and longer in length. Moving to the interior of the Vapor 3X Hockey Skates, they feature Bauer’s Hydrophobic comfort edge liner. This liner is specifically designed to keep players feet dry and comfortable, as well as locked into place during gameplay thanks to the form fit+ footbed. Paired with the Hydrophobic liner are the memory foam pads within the ankles of the boot. This all-new foam delivers good thermoformability, enhanced comfort and durability, and an improved fit! The lower half of the Vapor 3X Hockey Skates feature Bauer’s tried-and-true LightSpeed EDGE holders. Paired with the LightSpeed EDGE holders are the LS balance stainless steel runners! The 3X was released close to the HyperLite, which was a revolutionary skate at the time, so it kinda got lost in the mix. It's still a good skate and very similar to the 3X Pro model but without as much comfort. It's a mid- to upper-level fully composite skate with a felt tongue and a hydrophobic liner with a great grip.
