These skates were two steps above the entry-level Vapor for this line. As such, they had some nice upgrades, including a hydrophobic liner, upgraded padding, and blade holder. The boot is much stiffer than the the corresponding skate of the current line of Vapors, which translates into better protection, and an enhanced ability to take the power from your legs and put it directly into your stride. The tendon guard is stiff, rivets are tight with no corrosion. There is still plenty of steel left, and if you choose, the steel is replaceable.
