These shoulder pads were way too big for me (getting back into hockey as an adult I had not pro-shop nearby so I had a lot of trial and error with finding the right size gear). I used them a handful of times in beer league and stick time. I replaced the lace in the front with a hockey lace because the lace they came with would untie with every use. I think if they fit you properly they will be nice and offer good mobility. The shoulder caps and bicep guards have a lot of protection and overall the build is lightweight.
