There is a memory foam comfort pad in the donut hole of the kneecap, providing comfort and absorbing impact away from the joint. A top-level feature included in the MACH shin guards is Active Motion Protection. The anatomically molded shin cap includes AMP segmentation, providing excellent mobility. Bauer also added the all-new X-Flex shield with a hinged flex where the shin guard and tongue of the skate meet. With this added range of motion, players can skate and maneuver without feeling too restricted. The MACH shin guards also include a top-end strapping system.
