Bauer also added the all-new X-Flex shield with a hinged flex where the shin guard and tongue of the skate meet. With this added range of motion, players can skate and maneuver without feeling too restricted. The MACH shin guards also include a top-end strapping system. Bauer uses their Comfort Lock strap at the top and a wide calf strap to secure the shin guard to your leg, maximizing its protective and performance benefits.
