Used Medium CCM Tacks 310 Helmet w/CCM FM680M Cage I soaked the cage in vinegar for 1 week and used a wire brush and sand paper to remove most of the rust. Then I gave it 2 coats of clear spray paint, then 2 coats of white spray paint. I fixed one of the snaps with JB Weld Plastic Bonder Epoxy and it holds up nice. I used black wire to reattach the chin guard, but once you purchase you can do a more permanent fix, like epoxy or screws. I also replaced one of the clips ( left ) to reattach the cage, see picture. A few of the helmet pads could use a little tender loving care with some water proof glue, or duct tape. For people buying a used helmet, risk comes with the territory. Otherwise this helmet has some life left in it. Of course people buy used and fixed up helmets at their own risk. The HECC certification is Dec 2025, but of course with the modifications, its void.
