Bauer Profile 950X Senior Goalie Mask Small/Medium With 2 Cages

It was used one Spring/Summer and 2 months in the NAHL as my son waited for his painted mask. It is the “small / medium size”- hat size: 6 7/8- 7 1/4. Very similar to Fit2. Please know what size you are prior to purchase. It is in very good condition overall. It does show some wear. There are some paint chips in the chin and on the head area. None affect safety and they have been lightly covered with black paint. To get it at less than half price - it’s a solid deal. It also includes: 2 sweat bands (one new and one like new) 2 cages - one non-certified cat eye and one certified straight bar. That certified bar cage has some wear from pucks to the face (pressed in). The cat eye is newer and was purchased separately (89.00). Taking the already extremely protective Profile shape, Bauer has created the 950X. This mask features Bauer’s new proprietary designs and technology. The base of the shell continues with a traditional Fiberglass base and extra layers of Carbon to create extra stiffness and rigidity in the impact areas. Lastly, all of this protection is wrapped in their lightweight 12K Carbon Outer Layer. The cage of the Profile is the same shape as its predecessors, but Bauer has gone to a more pro look with removing the oval red logo in the middle of the forehead. Also, it features a rubber dampening strip along the forehead to reduce the cage pressing up against the forehead to better protect the paint. On the outside Bauer has also removed the option for the chin strap and harness placement. Now, the backplate harness anchors down below the ear creating a more snug fit to the goalies head. The inside of the mask is completely revamped to further protect the head. The old Rubatex foam has been switched out in favor of a mechanically attached liner which when the cage comes unscrewed, the liner can be taken out and cleaned. The layering of padding has XRD Foam in high impact zones through the forehead and ears. Partnered next to the XRD foam, Bauer’s use of ventilated VN Foam is found in the crown, temples, chin cup and backplate. This foam helps add comfort as well as breathability to reduce bacteria and sweat buildup inside of the hardware. Lastly, Bauer has encapsulated their flagship helmet with a new 37.5 Technology sweatband that helps keep the head cool, reduce sweat buildup and keep sweat out of the goalies eyes.
