Vaughn VM7700 Goalie Mask Senior

Bought new from Goalies Plus a little while back for around the sale price of $200. Worn about a half dozen times for outdoor roller. The Pros: solid construction and better quality than most at the price point. Fits exceptionally well. Plenty of vents for cooling purposes; Cons: it's a...well, a modern goalie mask. I'm a creature of habit that's used to wearing the ol' helmet/cage combo but have, over my nearly 25 years playing goal, occasionally went with a modern mask for the sake of protection, only to go back to my combo comfort zone eventually. Old habits... Regarding safety, I'm also a dude who gets pinged in the head at least once a game, and my first time wearing this I took a slapper to the chin. Even though I didn't feel the shot too much, the shot did chip some of the paint from the impact area (see pic.) It's only cosmetic and doesn't negatively affect the integrity of the shell in any way. There's a few tiny marks from other shots to the head that simply glanced off and DIDN'T chip the paint, thankfully. Comes with a deluxe Vaughn padded carry bag, a mesh protective bag, and two clean high quality sweatbands. Thanks for checking it out...
