Keith Kinkaid 37" Vaughn V6 Game Worn Goalie Pads, New Jersey Devils This set of pads was worn by Keith Kinkaid and look practically brand new. From what I can tell by the photo dates he wore them towards the end of the season, March-April so they were not used but a month or so. I wore them a few games but they are a bit too big (length) for me. You can see that these were signed off by Kay Whitmore, senior director of hockey operations for the NHL who checks and inspects the goaltenders equipment to make sure they are legal. I am guessing the 2-25 on the pad was February 25th which was the day he signed off on the pads. There is also a number near inside knee #975455 which I guess is Kinkaid's model number with Vaughn.

Perfect pads for:
Goalies seeking a responsive and customizable fit.

Durability

The Vaughn Velocity V6 goalie leg pads feature a full knee roll front design, ensuring flawless mobility. In contrast, the wide outer roll with breaks above and below the knee offers flexibility. Inside, the Pro Core design incorporates a full frontal foam core, providing consistent structure while allowing the pad to mold to the goalie’s leg and adapt to their playing style.

Vaughn has successfully combined the flex and freedom of the butterfly style with updated coverage, rebound control, and comfort. The knee blocks are snug, and leg and ankle coverage is complete without sacrificing movement. The 'skate tunnel' design keeps the pads positioned correctly on the ice while allowing for quick movements across the crease. I recommend replacing the Velcro knee strap on used sets, as they lose elasticity over time.
