Recommend as a 1st set for 8-10 year old starting out that won't break the bank. Son used them for his 1st season as a goalie in Squirts. Now he's moved on to bigger and more expensive things but has great memories in these pads to get him going. All parts, straps, buckles still in good working condition. Inner knee cradle and pads are intact and in excellent shape so no knee pads needed. Toe ties have been replaced and will last.
