Three sheets of carbon fiber are sectioned throughout the length of the pad to function as a recoil that brings the pad back to original shape after being flexed. The knee rolls have also been flattened to increase linear pad flex and give a more modern aesthetic. Vaughn has taken the Velcro strapping layout seen on the SLR Pro Carbon leg pads, to precision tune the pad to each goaltender’s preference.
