Black Junior 26" Bauer Gsx Goalie Leg Pads

Bought these new in November 2020, but my son hit a growth spurt and got new pads. Pads will come with all straps except the bungee toe strap, it failed after a few uses and we switched to a different setup that is now on his new pads. The pads are in great condition on tears or fraying. Great for a butter fly or hybrid goalie. New for 2020, Bauer goalie has continued on with the highly successful line and brought out the Bauer GSX Junior Goalie Leg Pads. The Bauer GSX will feature some key revisions and tweaks from previous lines to further improve the line. Starting off with the internal build of the Bauer GSX, a dynamic flex core with an above and below knee flex point makes up the overall build. Further down, a connect flex 115 degree boot angle allows the goaltender to comfortably get into their stance in any situation during play. Flipping around to the inner edge of the Bauer GSX Leg Pads, you will notice the square knee block design that allows the goaltender to get a consistent landing spot when transitioning into the butterfly. Turning over to the back of the Bauer GSX, you will notice the simplified strapping system compared to previous Supreme models. This TUNE FIT CONNECT strapping is made up of minimal Velcro attachment points which allows a goaltender to dial in their exact fit and feel they want on the ice. The GSX is outfitted with an added thigh protector which provides extra protection to the top of a goaltender’s knee for odd bounces but can also be easily removed and adjusted. Along the inner leg channel, you will find a butterfly assist calf pillow that helps provide higher stability when in a butterfly position while making it more comfortable. Finally, down at the toe section of the pad, you will notice the offset stretch toe which fully replaces the need of skate lace toe ties. The stretch toe system allows for a much wider range of motion which eases stress on the goaltender’s knees and is much easier to put on than any other toe attachment system. Compared to the Bauer GSX, the Bauer 3S features higher grade materials and construction, specifically the Supreme 3S is outfitted with a higher refined strapping system, CORTECH ST technology, and a different internal core that provides rigidity to the pad. The GSX are great beginner pads. They are excellent quality and priced right for a young goalie looking to move up. The strap system is easy to use and adjust. As a coach, I always recommend GSX to get a goalie started.
