33+2 Vaughn v6 1000 pads. Special colorway-black and powder blue. Single break. Good pads for someone who likes traditional softer pads but plays a butterfly style. Normal wear and tear from a few years of use including a little surface level cut on boot, but leather isn’t cut through. Doesn’t have elastic knee strap on left pad anymore, but leather knee strap does the trick. Rarely used more than once a week.

The Vaughn Velocity V6 goalie leg pads feature a full knee roll front design, ensuring flawless mobility. In contrast, the wide outer roll with breaks above and below the knee offers flexibility. Inside, the Pro Core design incorporates a full frontal foam core, providing consistent structure while allowing the pad to mold to the goalie’s leg and adapt to their playing style.

Vaughn has successfully combined the flex and freedom of the butterfly style with updated coverage, rebound control, and comfort. The knee blocks are snug, and leg and ankle coverage is complete without sacrificing movement. The 'skate tunnel' design keeps the pads positioned correctly on the ice while allowing for quick movements across the crease. I recommend replacing the Velcro knee strap on used sets, as they lose elasticity over time.
