Vaughn Ventus SLR2 Pro Hockey Goalie Leg Pads Color: Red / White Slide Material: Quickslide Size: 33+2 - Not sure why Vaughn did this but these are basically 34+2's - I wear a 34 for the VE8 and Pro V elite / Warrior 34 / Bauer 34 or Medium / Brian's 34 so again not sure why Vaughn calls these a 33 when they are 34's. These are outstanding box pads! Booming rebounds and the quickslide is the best sliding material in the business! These are also super light at 4.4 lbs each. (Do not purchase the Pro Carbon's, they weigh a pound more because of the internals. Not sure why they did that. These are perfect and light.) I believe Warrior is the only pad maker with lighter pads but they will not slide like these. Strap system is great. I like a snugger fit and the RRC strap provides that. If you want a looser fit you can remove it and then strap down the calf versus behind the knee so you have options. Toe and heel straps included. The only adjustment I'd recommend is to replace the toe straps with a velcro strap. These work but could be better. I replaced these with the Vaughn Pro V Elite. I can't live without the quickslide or RRC strap. If you are looking for a "light weight" box pad that sends pucks booming into the corner and slides better then any other pad on the market these will get the job done for you!
