Core Construction
DUALITECORE: CCM’s DUALITECORE offers a more all-around feel, staying flexible below the knee, balanced by its more rigid thigh rise. On the ice, their DUALITECORE gives the EFLEX 6.9 leg pads a tighter, more stable thigh rise seal, while allowing more flex below for big, dynamic moves.
Pre-curved Core w/ Single Internal Break: Signature to CCM’s EFLEX pads, the EFLEX 6.9 pads are built around a pre-curved core shape with a single internal break below the knee. In the crease, the EF6.9’s soft precurve allow the goalie to hold a tighter stance and a more narrow butterfly, without compromising 5-hole seal.
High-density Core Padding: CCM’s EFLEX 6.9 pads are padded throughout with high-density impact foams to rebound out the hotter shots, balanced by a more controlled rebound feel in close.
Classic Knee Roll Face w/ Modern Build: While the goalie pad market has largely moved away from knee rolls, CCM’s EFLEX 6.9 leg pads take the crease with a modern take on the traditional knee roll face. Compared to the classic knee rolls, CCM’s EF6.9 knee rolls offer more directional rebound control with their dense, low-profile, and sharp, angular design.
Leg Channel & Boot
Narrow Leg Channel Fit: Complimenting CCM’s QMSS 2 strapping, the EF6.9 pads secure around the calves with a narrow, tight-fit leg channel prioritizing control and more tightly sticking to the goalie.
Shallow, 90° Boot w/ Soft Flex: CCM’s stock boot for EFLEX 6 pads, their shallow, 90° boot positions the pads higher on the skates, helping to reduce binding and put the pad to the ice faster.
Dynamic Response System: Reinforced one-piece calf plate with a dense HD foam knee stack, integrated at the bottom layer for a more direct pad response and improved long-term durability.
Strapping
Quick Motion Strap System 2 (QMSS 2): CCM’s dynamic, Y-strap upper calf strapping secures the EFLEX 6.9 pads with multi-point adjustable tension at the upper calves. On ice, CCM’s QMSS2 provides multi-point control over the pads, while also allowing goalies to more finely tune pad rotation.
DRS Strap: CCM’s adjustable knee strap design, allows goalies to choose their preferred fit: Behind the knee to the removable knee wing, down and across to the calf wrap, or entirely removed.
