Goalies and players beware! Do not buy from ANY seller with Spox in their username! This scammer creates multiple new accounts and posts hundreds of fake goalie pad listings, all day, 7 days a week, and it never stops. DO NOT leave this site to go to some some sketchy fake website! Because SidelineSwap clearly can't stop this individual from creating new accounts and listings, they are often left up all day, every day. It's been 3 weeks and this person has created hundreds of accounts. Please report these scam accounts and repost this message!
There is a scammer on this site named Spox or spox.store, formerly known as Pixallo. This guy is stealing other people’s listing photos and descriptions, photoshopping his username onto the pictures, creating fake listings for unrealistically low prices, then posting this advertisement in all of his listings. He mostly posts goalie gear, but sometimes posts player gear, football helmets, and baseball bats as well. This person is attempting to get users to purchase these fake listings on their fake website, away from of buyer protection. Of course, spox.store is a complete scam and enters their payment information on this site will lose it forever.
This person is terminally online and/or using an AI bot, constantly creating new listings and accounts. He has created hundreds of usernames over the course of the last few weeks. These listings are posted after SidelineSwap's customer service hours and can stay up for 24 hours or longer. As soon as SidelineSwap bans one account, he makes five more and immediately starts posting again. All of these bogus accounts have the name Spox (or Pixallo) in them, so they are very easy to recognize.
I wanted to post this to inform the hockey community of this scammer. Unless you know the seller personally, do not take any purchases off of SidelineSwap and lose your buyer protection. If the prices are too good to be true, they are! You cannot buy a high-end set of goalie gear for $199. That is less than 10% of what these sets normally sell for.
