I used these pads for 2/3 of a season. They are in good shape with no tears. There is discoloration on the back, but that is a pretty widespread problem with the fabric that True uses. The 9x3 is a soft pad for controlled goalies that are looking for very controlled rebounds and controlled sliding. The boot allows for great toe box integration in the RVH for goalies that like to play low.
