Vaughn V7 Elite Intermediate Goalie Glove Vaughn V Elite Intermediate Goalie Blocker Details Vaughn Custom Sports has brought a fresh new look of technology and innovation to the 2017 goaltending game with the Vaughn Pro V Elite line, which is exclusive to GoalieMonkey. First, the blocker comes with a full binding on the perimeter along with lacing along the top of the cuff. The hand placement on the blocker is higher up on the board so there is more blocking surface below the hand. In combination with the higher hand placement, the board itself is a bit thinner to reduce the weight on the back of the hand to make blocker saves even easier. Vaughn is now using their VX Suede palm to give the goalie added grip and protection during use. The base of the palm is a cream nash surrounded by an Airmesh material which breathes very well and keeps the fingers cool. On top of the nash is a suregrip type material which will grip the stick and help reduce any vibrations on the hand from making stick saves. The final addition on the PVE blocker is the floating finger protection on the index finger under the sidewall. The style of the PVE offers a smaller cuff box and a very wide open palm and catching surface making this glove perfect for those who want a natural closure and huge basket to hold pucks. Starting on the backhand of the glove, it has a shorter cuff on the wrist to allow for complete articulation for all postures while still protecting the back of the hand. Inside, there is a unique double wrist strap system which gives the goalie complete freedom to find the tightness they are looking for without squeezing the wrist too tight. The pocket of the glove features a nice and deep Single T which features a unique lacing pattern to create a very soft catch in the pocket. The T is wider at the top of the spine and thins out towards the bottom to create a very nice seal and closure when catching pucks.
