This one is 12” wide and you do not need more, your shoulders on your chesty covers the rest. In the one pick, I pinched up the elastic with stitch ( it can be removed) . I have a 16” neck and the first time I had it on my throat was visible. A neck protector should be higher for protection or why wear it. I threw in a pic of the position, I covered my mug for legal reasons… hahaha
