The glove features cable knit nylon in the high-wear areas of the backhand, the outside of the pinky finger, and into the cuff. The rest of the glove comes in a traditional nylon, for breathability and a broken-in flexibility right out of the box. The glove sports a stitched Warrior logo on the cuff, with the balance of the graphics screen printed for an overall consistent and sharp appearance. The QRE 4 hockey glove is made with medium-density EVA foams, and the tops of the fingers and the backhand include plastic inserts for additional protection. The cuff and cuff roll have been upgraded with dual-density EVA foams—high-density foams on the outside, and a slightly less dense foam on the base. The three-piece backhand and two-piece fingers promise the intermediate-level hockey player exceptional dexterity. Warrior has upgraded the thumb in the QRE 4 with its AxyFlex construction for better movement and range of motion, and to help prevent hyperextension. The upgraded palm features a Clarino overlay in Warrior’s SmartPalm design, with double stitching for improved durability. The overlay is strategically applied to create a secure contact surface for an excellent grip. The open-shaped cuff is segmented for mobility while the liner’s moisture-wicking microfiber is soft and comfortable for a dry, secure feel. The QRE 4 is classified as a tapered fit with a snug feel in the fingers and backhand, while giving players a more relaxed cuff thanks to the open cuff construction. The Warrior Covert QRE 4 ice hockey glove is a big jump in quality and performance over the QRE 5.
