This Big Bertha Alpha been my driver the past decade. It will hit the ball far. Sometimes far AND straight. My performance analysis is soley a reflection on ME, and not this club. I got a new driver now, this one, and my other backup/security blanket driver are now relegated to the garage, so the partner would like the garage to be for the car, not more sporting goods and here we are. This is the Callaway Big Bertha Alpha (9.0°) paired with a UST Mamiya Proforce V2 (Regular Flex). The Alpha was the first driver to feature the Gravity Core (not included), allowing you to adjust the center of gravity to optimize your spin rate. Combined with the V2 shaft—famous for its high-modulus carbon fiber and incredible stability—this club is built for a penetrating, consistent ball flight. Mandatory Robot Tech Specs: Clubhead: 8/10. Very clean crown (no sky marks plus character - see next note). Minor face and sole wear from normal play. Clubhead "Character": Note the white paint dot on the bottom of the club. When the Jr. Partner on this locker was younger, she may have decided to decorate dad's drver with a bit of white out. I did not notice until I was playing with it. I do not know how to remove it and I love her so I just left it and assumed it would bring me luck out there. I hope it brings you luck as well. Or you can remove it. It is not a chip. Just "kid art". Shaft: 9/10. Graphics are crisp; no bag rub. Grip: Freshly cleaned and tacky. Ready for the course. Headcover: 4/10. It’s seen better days (flaking/wear), but it still protects the head perfectly during transit. Core "Tool": I long lost the Callaway "tool" but I have determined that an allen wrench still turns it. I liked it the way it was so I never worried about finding the lost tool. My internet robot says: The Gravity Core and Hosel use a standard golf torque wrench (Callaway, TaylorMade, etc.). If you have a modern driver, your current wrench will work perfectly!" Length: Custom fitted for me 10 years ago or so. I am 5'11. It's that long. I’m a long-time player and gear enthusiast. Check in for more great gear! RIGOROUS SERVICE: Ships next day: All Sunday orders hit the carrier first thing tomorrow. Expert Packing: I know how to ship clubs. It will arrive exactly as pictured. Father-Daughter Run: Proceeds go to our summer fun fund!
