My son convinced me he could easily swing this drop -5. Was purchased on 2/1/26. As soon as we got home my son stripped the wrapper and began to hit balls off a tee. After just 15 swings I could tell it was too heavy for him. He’s 11, 5’ tall and weighs 105lbs. Needless to say he’s still in the market for a new bat that he can swing with less strain. The ICON is very hot and much more reliable than the hype fire. The bat needs a little break in but once that’s done you don’t have to worry about cracking or fractures. My son loves his, and we are totally sold on the ICON.
