This connection system incorporates a threaded groove that internally locks the barrel and handle together. And then they complete the connection with the external sleeve that puts an extra hold on the connection point.  The CatX Connect is also equipped with Marucci's new S-40 Composite handle.  This handle is ~8-10% stiffer than prior Cat Connect bats, which will transfer energy faster from the batter to the ball resulting in unmatched performance! In addition, the CatX Connect includes a new custom-sized handle taper for a more ergonomic fit and improved bat control.
