For the CatX Connect -10 USSSA Baseball Bat, Marucci has increased the AZR Alloy barrel diameter by about 2.5mm to be closer to the maximum allowable limit. This increase results in a more flexible barrel and higher performance! That alloy barrel is locked into the composite handle by the OLS (Outer Locking System) Connector Piece. This connection system incorporates a threaded groove that internally locks the barrel and handle together. And then they complete the connection with the external sleeve that puts an extra hold on the connection point. The CatX Connect is also equipped with Marucci’s new S-40 Composite handle. This handle is ~8-10% stiffer than prior Cat Connect bats, which will transfer energy faster from the batter to the ball resulting in unmatched performance! In addition, the CatX Connect includes a new custom-sized handle taper for a more ergonomic fit and improved bat control.
