I found this old Spalding 42-631 at Berkshire Emporium & Antiques in North Adams, Mass. and it was in ROUGH shape. Dry as a bone and flat to the point I needed two hands to open it. But after several rounds of leather cleaner followed by repeated conditioner, glove oil, mink oil, and new Flat Bill laces, this old glove has new life. The leather softened up nicely, there are no tears or rips in the glove, and it open and closes so easily now that it's hydrated. This 11" glove is best for kids 9-12 or if you're a collector. But it's game-ready right now and waiting for a new owner!
