1986-87 Boston Bruins CCM Maska Replica XL Cam Neely RARE FIRST YEAR JERSEY!

This is a very unique jersey as it is a rare 1980's Bruins home Ultrafil replica jersey with a sewn-on twill crest. Normally CCM/Maska replicas of this era are Air-Knit and an embroidered crest. It has been customized to the specs of the 1986-87 season, Cam Neely's first year as a Bruin after being traded from the Canucks. The 86-87 set worn on-ice had a lot of quirks. First was the extra long namebar. Normally they are cut to the width of the name, but for some reason every jersey, whether name short or long, had an almost full-length namebar. Next, the sleeve numbers were placed sitting directly on the top of the top stripe of the sleeve, rather than above the stripe. Lastly, the font for both name and number are different than previous years and preceded the standard late 80's, early 90's familiar font they carried with them through the Garden years. This jersey has hand-stitched stacked twill throughout and an Ultrafil namebar matching the jersey fabric. Great care was used when matching the fonts to the time period and otherwise customizing the jersey to be correct for that season. The jersey is in amazing shape for its age! It has a small blemish above the crest, the crest is rotated counter-clockwise ever so slightly, and there are a few small pulls as is normal with Ultrafil, especially 35-year old Ultrafil. Flaws aside, this jersey is extremely unique and I challenge you to find one like it outside a game-worn jersey. It is a men's XL but fits more like a large. The jersey measures 25" pit-to-pit and 30" from back of the neck to the bottom hem. If you need more detailed pictures, let me know and I am happy to provide!
