The Monster is back from the dead! That's right, hot off the success of the Joy series skis, Head revived one of their most renowned skis, the Monster Series. These skis feature Graphene technology which reinforces the ski keeping it stiff and responsive but very lightweight at the same time. The Monster also has All Ride Era 3.0 rocker so they'll hold up in soft snow and high speeds without blinking. At 108mm in the waist, the Monster 108 is a versatile everyday ski that is at home off piste or in fresh powder. Don't get it wrong though, this ski is a beast on the groomers and will carve better than most wide skis. Speed: Very Fast: Skiing at this speed means keeping up with the best skiers on the mountain, while still maintaining control. Era 3.0 Rocker/Camber: Head combines Rocker for flotation in soft snow, a progressive radius for better edge contact and grip, and shock absorption to dampen vibrations. Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid. Tip Rocker: This refers to the early rising of the tip to get the ski on top of the soft snow, rather than pushing through it. When the skis are held with the bases together, it will look like the tips are bent, and spread away from eachother. Tip rocker also helps skiers pivot the skis, making tight trees remarkably easy, and gives the ski a surf-like feel. Skier Ability: Expert: Skiing comfortably anywhere on the mountain, and at any speed, jumping off cliffs and overall craziness. Titanium Layer: A thin, but strong layer of Titanium sits under the topsheet of this ski. Not only does it make the ski stronger, it keeps it lighter than other metals, and also creates a dampening effect for the ski. This means it rides smoother over bumpy terrain. These skis are in great condition. Top sheets have very few scratches-- no de-lamination. Bases have a couple dings and scratches. Lot's of edge left-- sharp. Minimal usage-- lots of life left.
