Vision can change over time, whether about one’s vision/ideologies, a brand’s vision, or even your eyesight. In the case of the Vision Collection, our vision changed the day we tested the new Optic Collection. From the 88 to the 114, the Optic Collection skied so well that we knew we had to revamp the Vision Collection to match. We took the shape of the Optic 96, 104, and 114, removed the metal, increased the rocker, added a brand-new THC layup and the new Vision Collection was born. These changes resulted in incredibly lightweight yet stable skis for the uphill, with the versatility and performance that the Optic footprint offers for the downhill. Designed with our new Bio-Resin Tech and FSC Certified Wood Cores, the Vision Collection doesn’t just feature improved skiing performance; it also features new environmentally friendly materials. Core Aspen and Paulownia Profile Rocker/Camber/Rocker (11mm tip / 2mm camber / 6mm tail) Core Technologies THC Construction: A proprietary stack of carbon fiber, fiberglass, and flax designed to dampen vibrations at different frequencies without adding weight. Bio-Resin: An eco-friendly resin that improves core bonding while reducing the carbon footprint by 20%. Thick-Cut Sidewalls: Increased sidewall material over the steel edges for enhanced durability and power transmission. 5-Cut Geometry: Five different radii blended into the sidecut to allow for diverse turn shapes and intuitive control. Performance Review Versatility: Best suited for advanced skiers seeking a "quiver-of-one" that can handle groomers, fresh snow, and long skin tracks. Strengths: Extremely agile in tight terrain like moguls and trees. It is praised for its predictable handling and confidence-inspiring transitions on packed snow. Weaknesses: Due to its lightweight construction and lack of metal, it may experience "chatter" or instability at very high speeds in chopped-up snow or heavy crud.
